Thank you for using Plant Focus Buddy (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the browser extension.
Plant Focus Buddy helps users stay focused by displaying a virtual plant whose health reflects their browsing habits. The plant thrives when you visit productive sites and wilts when you visit distracting ones.
Plant Focus Buddy does not collect personal information. The Extension does not identify, track, or store any data about you as an individual.
The Extension monitors the URL hostname of your currently active browser tab solely to determine whether it matches your personal list of focus or distraction sites. Page content, form data, passwords, and full URLs are never read or stored.
All data — including your plant type, site lists, focus time, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in local storage. No data is transmitted to external servers.
Plant Focus Buddy does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or third-party tracking tools. The Extension fetches website favicons from Google's public favicon service (google.com/s2/favicons) solely to display shortcut icons on the new tab page. No personal data is included in these requests.
Plant Focus Buddy is suitable for all ages. No personal information is collected from anyone, including children.
